What are the things you value in your life?

Do you ever stop to ask yourself what you value in your life?  After the pandemic I feel like some people began to awaken, some people dealt with loss and most people dealt with uncontrollable changes in their life.   I felt like it was a huge "pattern interrupt", something behavioralist speak about.  I'm always making up skits in mind and sometimes I wonder if screen writing is looming in the background of my future plans.  I imagine God on a megaphone yelling down to earth, "we interrupt this regularly scheduled program for...well you can fill in the blanks.  I am blessed to have escaped some horrible consequences that others faced during that time.  But now what?  Once the crisis is not on every tv and we've moved onto new worldly doings in the news, how are we experiencing our everyday lives?   Life is just as precious today.  Every day is still a wonderful gift.  We are still promised this very moment and this very moment only!  So, are you spending time on the things you value?  Are you spending it with the people you value?  I remember when I turned forty. I was beginning the teenage years with my kids, I was working, still competing at beach volleyball, traveling and spending a lot of time with family and friends.  It all caught up to me and I found myself with extreme fatigue.  I could not do it all.  But more importantly I realized that I was growing, and my life and priorities were changing, yet I was still trying to do things the old way. I needed to shift.  I looked at who I most wanted to spend time with and made decisions accordingly.  At first it felt awkward, and I found myself leaning towards guilt.  But then I focused on coming from a place of love.  Everybody in my world benefits when I am the best version of myself.  We are the creators of this precious life; we make our choices and create our world...so how do you want your world to look?
